A Camping We Will Go!

This last weekend Tony, my sister and brother-in-law, and I went camping at the beach, well not exactly on the beach, but close enough. We found a nice little camping site up in the hills and had a relaxing weekend of beach walks, campfires, long naps, and clam-chowder. Not to mention scrumptious S'mores made with a cookie/cracker I have never had before called Digestives and top with Cadbury chocolates and marshmellows. They tasted so good!

(The campsite, with Rio!)

Rio came along for her very first camping experience, and I have to admit I was wary about bringing her. She behaved so well though, and she even minded Kevin and Annie. When we took her into the crowded little city I was afraid she would freak-out, but she behaved well and we were able to partake in some yummy clam chowder by the pier. I was worried because we have never taken her into crowded public places before, only walks around our neighborhood, but she was a doll! You know, it's funny how many friends you make when you have a dog with you! People just start talking to us like they had known us forever!

(Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl, MMM!)

We wandered in and out of our favorite cities along the coast and did some antique shopping, but mostly we just enjoyed the beaches. Apart from the morning fog, the weekend was absolutely beautiful. The beach was accompanied with an electric blue sky and a nice breeze off the ocean that gave just the perfect amount of goosebumps. We happened to find a small park at the end of a residental area that over looked the ocean. And were inspired by the view...all in all a very peaceful weekend. I'm looking forward to our next little beach adventure!

(Who in their right mind would not want to wake up to this view every morning?!)
