And now for the weather...

For the past two days the weather has been absolutly odd. A looming orangish-grey cloud has been lurking above and casting an eerie orange glow upon all it touches, making the world look like a horror movie set. The sun can barley be seen through the clouds, and looks like one of the orange parking lot lights that illuminate at night. Yet with the rest of the world alight, along with the still air, I feel a bit uncomfortable being outside. I want to hold my breath, as if when I breathe I am ingesting some poison or toxic gas. I blame it on the smog and the fact that we live in the valley, so all of Northern and Sothern California's dirty air slide down and sits right upon us; not to mention the temperature has been 100+ degrees and incredibly muggy with no breeze to displace the heat. Both of these factors equal Scary-Orange-Cloud-Of-Doom!
I did like the orange light it put through the window in the kitchen though, and thought it made for good composition. But now I just hope it goes away so we can go back to our "normal" blue-ish grey sky soon. Too much orange makes Jeny go something-something!
