As of Friday March 27, 2009 I am officially Mrs. Jennifer T. Sanchez!! I figured after five years of marriage it was time to finally change my name. I know it took quite a while, but it makes the change that much more special for me. I dabbled back and forth between going Rendt-Scott-Sanchez (which many people begged me not to) or just Sanchez. I decided to make it easy and just be a Sanchez.
I had always thought that if I decided to take just his name I would loose my sense of individuality, and I would loose my unique "family name". But I finally decided that in taking his name I am making my marriage commitment to him even more of a commitment because I am giving up something that was special and important to me. I also realized that it was not my name that made me a unique person, that comes from the inside!
I have a feeling I will probably still be called by my "alias" Rendt-Scott Sanchez because that is how everyone has known me for the past five years, but ALL my official documents will just be Mrs. Sanchez. :)
Here is to a new chapter...which began five years ago!!

being that I provided you with the Scott part of that formerly expanded last name I applaud you for finally changing it...I got tired of writing 47 last names on your mail that I send,
if you would please name your first born male "Scott" to honor your dear old dad.....no hurry on the grand children please
