What a beautiful time of the year!

It is that time of year again! Fall is beginning to peek its head around the corner, and so are the cool fall nights! I believe this is my favorite time of year, when the evenings are cool enough to leave the windows open but not so cold that you have to snuggle deep under the blankets. (That means Halloween is comming soon too!) Along with fall comes the "dreaded" back-to-school. I have offically survived my first week back in college after a very busy summer break, and I am ready to get back into the swing of things. Although I do not miss the homework, I did miss learning new and exciting things. This quarter I have decided to extend my creative side and take a Photography course. Now it has been years since I have taken a photography class, so I feel a bit disenchanted. But that is just due to the list of supplies we are supposed to buy. (What does the lab fee pay for anyway?) Well with that being said, I have endured my very first creative assignment; Depth of Field.

After doing the assignment I got a little bored and decided to photograph the dogs. (In my previous post I said we named our new puppy Lyra; well we decided to change her name to Elle. In French it means she. So it fits.) Maybe not as exciting as abstract candels, but fun just the same. So far Rio has been pretty tolerant of the new addition! Josie, well that's another story.

(Peek-A-Boo!)

That's a precious photo of Rio and Elle! I look forward to seeing more cool photos from you as you go through the photography course. Maybe you can teach me all that you learn... :)
